Droning Around 101

Droning around in my home. What better way to learn then to be ultra careful with your controls!

My very first image taken with the DJI pro mini 4 of Grendon Hall in Northamptonshire

What am I doing?

No seriously! What am I doing? I have resisted purchasing a drone for so long but I can not resist any longer. I have been taken by the variety of images can be created and the ability to see the world in a different way.

As a photographer, I love creating unique images so why should I not include aerial? It is amazing with how fast technology has developed and that how a technology that was once developed for military reconnaissance to recreation and a comercial tool.

Early experimental roots come from kites and balloons and now with a significant leap forward with the integration and development of digital cameras and drones in the last decade.

Sixfields Lake over Northampton. My first test of the drone around a built up area to see how I fair.

But did you know that the very first drone was actually invented by Abraham Wilson back in 1894.
