The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Centre holds a special place in my heart. It is where my adventure began back in 2018 in the town of West Yellowstone. The Grizzly centre is a non profit organisation wildlife and educational facility.

All of the animals that reside at the centre are unable to survive in the wild. Each Bear at the centre has it's own unique story to tell but all have something in common and that is they are all nuisance bears or the cubs of nuisance bears which became dependant on obtaining food from humans, destroying properties and as such become aggressive towards humans as they became fearless being around people

Instead of the animals being destroyed, these bears were given a home at the centre and as such, became ambassadors in order to show the behaviour of a bear in the wild.

The wolves at the centre were born in captivity and the facility in which they came from did not have room to keep the pups and as such were taken to the centre. They would not be able to survive in the wild.
